Glimpses of Florence

Brief looks at Florence Early today when I tottered down to breakfast, getting a charge out of the unwinding of the beginning of my late spring get-away, my father disclosed to me he had a shock for me. He divulged a sketch he had gotten for me of the Piazza della Signoria in Florence by Italian craftsman Dante Canasi (b.1889). I was excited! He brought up sculptures envisioned the bronze by Giambologona, the duplicate of Michelangelos David, and others that I will be finding in a month from now.We then glanced through my fathers own work that he painted two or three summers back on his own artistic creation excursion to Florence. He indicated me an artwork with a perspective on Florence and the unquestionable pinnacle and red vault of Palazzo Vecchio painted from a close by slope. However, I needed to see more! With a speedy Netflix search, I found the well known Florentine recorded film, A Room With A View. It was brilliant! Florence was enlivened! It gave me a sample of Italian culture and imagined superb scenes of the Arno River, the Piazza della Signoria, and the Florentine open country. I can't hold back to paint it myself!- Phoebe
